| 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐚, Recognizing that each is an independent and sovereign subject of international law, Mindful of the deep and close ties between the Aurorian Patriarchal Church and Selucia, Aware of the need to reevaluate the relation between the Church and the Selucian political community, given the profound legal, political, and religious changes affecting the position of the Aurorian Patriarchal Church in Selucian society, have agreed to the provisions of the following Concordat: 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝑰 The Aurorian Patriarchal Church and all its institutions renounce all claims of sovereignty or political authority over any part of the territory of Selucia. 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝑰𝑰 Selucia guarantees full freedom of thought and religion to Aurorian Patriarchal faithful and to the Aurorian Patriarchal Church as a body; this freedom may only be restricted in the interest of public safety and public order, and such restrictions must be justifiable, proportional, and limited. 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝑰𝑰𝑰 All clergy of the Aurorian Patriarchal Church residing on Selucian territory and carrying out their pastoral activity in Selucia must hold Selucian citizenship. Selucia reserves the right to restrict the activity of clergy that do not possess Selucian citizenship. 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝑰𝑽 Selucia shall return all property confiscated from the Aurorian Patriarchal Church, except for cases where ownership is disputed by another party. A neutral body appointed by Selucian courts shall determine the appropriate ownership and, if necessary, the amount of compensation. 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝑽 The Aurorian Patriarchal Church renounces all claims of ownership or sovereignty over the buildings and territory belonging to the Empyrean Temple, and shall not receive compensation for them.
