Kundrati-Likatonia Treaty on Naval Co-operation

| AN TREATY on allowance of naval friendship between the Kundrati Union and the Republic of Likatonia. Article I: On Naval Zones Both parties are to recognize the Law of the Sea for which both sides are signatory to. Both navies may operate within 100 km of the coast of the coasts of each other for patrol, and within 12 nautical miles if requested by one side. Article II: On Naval Base Usage Both navies may use each sides' naval bases for refuelling, repairs incase of damage, and for safe exchange of personnel if need be. Jildrath Island Naval Base may be used for Likatonian naval ships if need be by permission of the Kundrati Admiralty, though can be rescinded by said Admiralty. Both parties are to provide personnel to each othets' courts if said personnel commit crimes against the respective laws and military codes, excluding the death penalty for Kundrati personnel. Article III: On Naval Exercises Both navies may conduct naval exercises in each sides' exclusive economic zone. Naval exercises may be allowed up to five times a year and only include acceptable exercises as determined by various local and maritime custom. Article IV: On The Sea Both navies may exclusively patrol the Artanian Sea, for which both parties share coasts with and which face each other. Both navies may patrol the sea and use force against pirates and enemies of both states or that of Artenia or Seleya facing the Artenian Sea. Article V: On Implementation This treaty is to be enforced from both sides signature and passage in the respective assemblies. |
