| This Treaty and its set of Provisos and Articles, officially known as the Istalia Accord of Diplomacy (Accord), was created to establish diplomacy and neutrality between signatory nations and Istalia, thus allowing for the creation and enhancement of an extended relationship based on these diplomatic ties established by this Accord. Channels of Communication All signatory nations recognise that regular communication is important to building trust and friendship with Istalia. To this end, the governments of signatory nations must consult regularly with Istalia and open clear channels of communication and information exchange. ---------- 2. Embassies and Ambassadors Signatory nations shall permit the nation of Istalia to establish an official embassy and appoint an ambassador. In accordance, Istalia shall permit signatory nations to establish embassies and appoint ambassadors. ---------- 3. Protection of Diplomats Governments of signatory nations shall do whatever possible to protect and ensure the safety of the diplomatic bodies and officials from Istalia. In accordance, Istalia shall ensure the protection and safety of diplomats of signatory nations. ---------- 4. Diplomatic Resolutions Signatory nations shall commit to solve any issues with Istalia through diplomacy and political discussion. In accordance, Istalia shall commit to solve any issues with signatory nations in the same manner. ---------- 5. Intelligence Efforts Signatory nations shall permit intelligence agents of the Terran Remediation Agency to enter their nation, establish and maintain intelligence efforts under the jurisdiction of the governments of signatory nations. In accordance, Istalia shall permit intelligence agents of signatory nations to enter the nation. ---------- 6. Neutrality Signatory nations agree to remain officially neutral in conflicts and/or disputes between Istalia and other nations of Terra, and will only participate in the form of medical and humanitarian assistance to populations in need. ---------- 7. Sovereignty Signatory nations undertake to respect the sovereignty of Istalia and the neutrality that this treaty represents. |
