Bill: IP Biological Weapons Research Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Imperialist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2373

Description[?]:

Research of biological and chemical weapon technology is vital for putting together antidotes and defence strategies, in the case of an attack - by terrorists, or our enemies abroad. Furthermore, military research may have positive spillovers for our biotechnology industry, as military technologies often have some commercial applications (eg. the internet, the commercial aviation industry).

Under this act, we would still not procure such weapons, nor would Telamon use them.
