| PREAMBLE: IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DIVINELY ORDAINED PROVISIONS OF THE SOLENTIAN ESCHATOS, TO UPLIFT THE STATE OF SOLENTIA FROM ITS AMARTIA AND ASCEND TO A STATE OF ARETE, TO ENGLIGHTEN AND REVEAL THE LIGHT OF THE THEOS UPON THE SUFFERING MASSES OF HUMANITY, TO FULFILL THE ENTIRETY OF THE GLORIOUS HUMAN DESTINY AND ITS TERMINUS, IT IS THUS WILLED THAT THE COVENANT OF THE ARETIC THEOCRACY OF SOLENTIA BE SEALED, IN THE YEAR MMCCCLXXXVIII OF THE ARETIC ORTHODOX CALENDAR ========TEXT OF THE COVENANT======== There exist in SOLENTIA two peoples, two forces, two paths with one destiny. They are the AVATARA, the incarnations of the universal THEOS, Its lieutennants in Terra and ordained to bring the doctrine of ARETISM to the DEMA. And They are the DEMA, those in SOLENTIA who are destined to receive the blessing and the revelations of ARETISM. They are all those in SOLENTIA who are not members of the AVATARA. The DIALECTIC of history, the progress of human thought, the expansion of knowledge material and spiritual, has brought SOLENTIA to this TERMINUS, this CULMINATION OF HISTORY. AND SO, THE ARETIST THEOCRACY OF SOLENTIA IS CONSECRATED through this COVENANT, AND IT SHALL BE GOVERNED AND LEGITIMIZED THROUGH THIS IMMUTABLE AND ETERNAL DECLARATION: The DEMA of SOLENTIA hearby: 1) recognize their AMARTIA and the path to ARETE, 2) commit themselves to the doctrine of ARETISM to purify themselves of their AMARTIA, 3) submit themselves for this end to the rule, guidance, and wisdom of the SOLENTIAN AVATARA, 4) establish, as such, SOLENTIA as an ARETIST STATE, THE ARETIST THEOCRACY OF SOLENTIA THUS, LET THIS TERMINUS BE ACHIEVED. ========END======== INITIAL PROVISIONS OF THE ARETIST STATE I. Establishment of the ACOLYA a. The AVATARA shall select a number of individuals to the caste of the ACOLYA. b. These individuals shall possess: i. Superior ARETE ii. Inferior AMARTIA iii. Excellence in skills essential to the functioning of the ARETIST THEOCRACY OF SOLENTIA c. THE ACOLYA shall manage and administrate the ARETIST THEOCRACY OF SOLENTIA. II. Provisions of the SOLENTIAN ARETIC CHURCH a. All members of the ACOLYA and the DEMA shall be SODEIA in the ARETIST CHURCH of SOLENTIA. i. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER RELIGIOUS ENTITY EXCEPT THE ARETIST CHURCH OF SOLENTIA IN EXISTENCE WITHIN THE SOLENTIAN THEOCRACY. ii. REFUSAL OF MEMBERSHIP SHALL RESULT IN SEVERE PUNISHMENT, including DEATH. b. Mandatory services shall be held twice daily at sunrise and sundown. i. In addition, pilgrimages, holidays, and other observances of the Church shall be recognized by the THEOCRACY. c. All affairs of the CHURCH shall be devoted solely and exlucsively to the STATE, and all affairs of the STATE shall be solely and exclusively devoted to the CHURCH. II. Political and Economic Provisions a. The LEGISLATURE SHALL BE REPLACED by the ARETIC CONCLAVE, comprising of 599 members of the ACOLYA and headed by an CONCILIUM of 5 AVATARS. i. Each region, which shall be termed an ARETIC PROVINCE, shall be represented proportionately. ii. Members of the ARETIC CONCLAVE shall be appointed by the AVATARA and serve at their pleasure. iii. The domain of the ARETIC CONCLAVE shall include managing the internal affairs of the THEOCRACY and executing the legislative will of the AVATARA. THE AVATARA retain the right to overrule the CONCLAVE on any matter. iv. The ARETIC CONCLAVE exists solely to execute the will of THE AVATARA b. All technological innovation and industry except that concerning national defense and law enforcement shall cease. i. Industries and sectors baned shall include, but not be limited to, manufacturing, extraction of non-essential natural resources, production of non-essential ammenities, banking and finance, communications, education, computing and IT, and various services. ii. The AVATARA, through the CONCLAVE, shall retain the right to permit any industry on an ad-hoc basis. c. All affairs within the sovereign ARETIC THEOCRACY OF SOLENTIA shall fall under the purview of the THEOCRACY. i. All matters of law enforcement, national defense, and international relations are under the authority of the THEOCRACY. ii. All economic activity is under the authority of the THEOCRACY. iii. All actions, thoughts, and behaviors of the DEMA are under the authority of the THEOCRACY. iv. The THEOCRACY may devolve these powers to certain governmental organizations, individuals or PROVINCES on an ad-hoc basis III. Mandates for the DEMA and the ACOLYA. a. The LOWER CASTES (the DEMA and the ACOLYA) shall devote themselves solely to the ARETIC THEOCRACY OF SOLENTIA, SYNONYMOUS WITH THE SOLENTIAN ARETIC CHURCH. i. The LOWER CASTES shall devote themselves to repentance and amelioration of their AMARTIA and achieving a state of ARETE. ii. The LOWER CASTES shall obey without question and doubt the will of the AVATARA, expressing their will through the ACOLYA. iii. The ACOLYA shall obey the AVATARA unwaveringly. b. The LOWER CASTES shall engage in both a MONOLOGUE and a THEOLOGUE for the purposes of their ASCENTION. c. The LOWER CASTES shall live lives of chastity, poverty, and piety to cleanse themselves of their AMARTIA. IV. Supplements to the Articles of the Covenant a. The Articles of the COVENANT or the COVENANT ITSELF may be amended, revised, extended, and supplemented or negated by any piece of legislation passed by the ARETIC CONCLAVE, expressing the will of the AVATARA. |
