Vague Additions to the Total, or VAT, shall be added to the price "non-luxury" items at half the rate of the existing luxury spending tax. A small price to pay for the safe return of our valiant Crusaders I'm sure every party will agree? This shall naturally be reversed on the successful conclusion of the war. We shall also propose, after the war, that Income Tax be reduced to a mere tithe of 10% as a "peace dividend" to his Holy Majesty's subjects. |
