Bill: Economic Freedom Bill of 2401

Details

Submitted by[?]: The Liberty Organization

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2402

Description[?]:

"Corporations in the Grand Duchy of Keymon have long suffered a repressive economic environment. The Liberty Organization's Economic Freedom Bill will reduce the interference the government has imposed on commerce on the island and allow for greater economic prosperity. Corporate tax receipts currently make up a small percentage of the government's revenue. The rate of taxation is set too high, this rate should be lowered to encourage more corporations to take root on our great island. The limitations on companies ability to fire workers who go on strike is a terrible risk business owners must face. The legal system in Keymon is strong and should allow for baseless firings to have justice served. Finally the permission of foreign investment will allow the world to share in and strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit of our people."

Timothy Reed,
The Liberty Organization
Candidate for Minister of Finance
