Local governments can be trusted to make as responsible decisions as the central government while better taking into account the local conditions, needs & people. It's in the best interests of local governments to maintain food safety standards but they need the right to adjust them to meet specific local conditions. We set the following provision into the bill: * There must exist basic food standards concerning quality and selling of food, possibly adjusted according to recommendations provided by the Ministry of Food & Agriculture. |
