| Under the current law, all Lodamun citizens upon completion of schooling must serve in the military. This law is detrimental to the Lodamun economy since it delays educated adults from pursuing their careers of choice. DURING PEACETIME, no citizen should be required to serve in the military. There is simply no need. However, DURING A TIME OF WAR, it should be the duty of every citizen that is of proper age and health to take up arms and defend his/her country. Mandatory military service is only necessary during this time as a war poses a tremendous threat to the security of every aspect of a nation. |

Old value:: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve either a term in the military or a lesser paid term of civilian national service, at their option.
Current: There shall be no mandatory military or civilian national service.
Proposed: All adults upon completion of schooling can be required in times of war to serve a term in the military.
