Bill: Fireworks Safety Act of 2442

Details

Submitted by[?]: Advocation For The True Sovereign Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2443

Description[?]:

Currently, adults are allowed to purchase fireworks of any size or kind. This allows the average citizen to purchase fireworks that pose a potential risk to public safety. In other countries large fireworks shows are put on by trained professionals and it is illegal for the average citizen to possess such large fireworks. However, we believe that citizens should have the right to shoot off smaller fireworks, that are safer and designed to be used by the average citizen.

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset.

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand
