| The DSP does not believe that the current laws in regards to curfews are useful, and indeed we believe they are hindersome. As it is curfews may only be established during a state of emergency, something we approve of, however since a state of emergency may only apply to a single area, we do not believe that the national government is very useful in such cases. However the local government, knowing a great deal more about the area and the people can more affectively determine the level of curfew required, and where it is needed. Therefore the DSP proposes that local governments may impose curfews, but only during a state of emergency. |
