Description[?]:

Ever since the industrial sector was nationalised, the SSK has been getting strange calls from large violent men in cheap suits telling our former silent partner that he had a choice between 'silver or lead'. He ignored them, which is apparantly tantamount to choosing lead, which to be pedantic was probably stainless steel, since he was found with his throat slit and his heart cut out two hours later, and I don't know of many cutlers who make lead knives. For that matter, I'm not sure that saws, axes, cleavers, and any other such cutting or hacking implement are ever made with lead. I think most of them use steel or a carbon alloy.

Nevertheless, they repeated the offer to me, and I have opted to take the silver ; which, as it turns out, is actually quite a substantial amount of gold bullion and untraceable bearer's bonds. So while these large violent men in cheap suits might be a little lax on the details, they sure do know how to make a decent marketing pitch.

For some reason they require that this bill be passed, and with a choice between 34 million Telars and getting my throat slit and my heart cut out, I'm not one to argue.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
