Bill: Crowd Dispersion Bill (2471)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Mordusian Democratic Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2472

Description[?]:

The police, at this time, may disperse crowds if they are considered a threat to "public safety". The power to disperse crowds should be in the hands of the local leaders, who have the power to declare a state of emergency and then disperse any crowds. This will ensure that the police do not overuse their ability to break up protests and the ability to declare gathering's dangerouse in the proper political hands.

Random quote: “The people's war isn't just a war of destruction, it is also a war of construction. We will build new facilities, new hospitals, new farms. We will seek to improve the lives of the people around us. This struggle will be as costly as the struggle against the bourgeois army, and indeed will be even more damaging to the enemy.” - Comrade X, former Hulstrian politician
