Bill: Support Digital Law Enforcement

Details

Submitted by[?]: Leviathan Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2103

Description[?]:

Our police need the ability to subpeanoa data as part of their investigation, and that cannot be done if people can assert an absolute right to privacy. Requring the police to get a warrant before seizing data give people the same level of protection granted to their physical possessions and homes, and we fail to see why digital information should get a higher standard of protection.
