Bill: Promotion of Faith
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party of Solentia
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2504
Description[?]:
Freedom of speech? How about the freedom to not have anothers religion forced upon you? Its in unfair to have religions openly advertise their belief, and have their views forced upon you without a choice. Setting up a place of worship, and advertising on their own ground, or a passive form of advertising is fine, but on national TV and radio, when you cannot escape it? Surely religion should be your own choice, uninfluenced by anything else. Something personal to yourself. Furthermore, these religious organisations are not taxed on their adverts like a corporation would be. Surely religious leaders should be spending their money on things such as the poor and the needy, or repairing the chapel roof? When you next sit in your car, and turn on the radio, remember this when you hear that oh so recognised religious jingle. |
