Bill: Act of Succession 2509
Details
Submitted by[?]: Covenanters (IA)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2509
Description[?]:
My Lords, Honourable Friends and Members, Although it has already been agreed by this Holy Imperial Diet that Kaiser Rudolph shall take my place as the Holy Luthori Emperor, it would appear that there are certain constitutional issues which mean the succession must be ratified by the electorate at large. Those of you who wish to stand by your decision to have Rudolph as our ruler, please vote for this election and endorse him (he will nominally be standing as the BCD candidate, as I did, but party affiliation is removed when the position is made hereditary). [OOC: Mods will no longer change HoS names - remove your own HoS candidate, endorse BCD then vote yes for this bill. The "one office" option will get rid of George Herr as well, since we can't agree on how to appoint cabinets.] |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
