Bill: Curfew Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Peoples' Fist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2525
Description[?]:
This loophole in terms of a curfew policy needs to be closed. "In a state of emergency?" How long until this is abused and a tyrant chooses to declare this "state of emergency" in order to prevent opposition rallies and protests? Clearly, if it is a matter of safety there are ample means to warn citizens to stay indoors in the event of something akin to an attack. This bill only acts as a way to impede citizens' rights to assembly. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
Random quote: "A return to first principles in a republic is sometimes caused by the simple virtues of one man. His good example has such an influence that the good men strive to imitate him, and the wicked are ashamed to lead a life so contrary to his example." - Niccolo Machiavelli |
