Bill: Social Reform Act of November 2533

Details

Submitted by[?]: Federal Republican Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2534

Description[?]:

Respected Colleagues,

With our citizens living longer and more healthier lives than ever, it is past time we examine the mandated retirement age. With an expected life-span of 76-78 pushing back the professional retirement age by a meager four-years will ease the burden on our tax-payers which is in our view, needless at the age of 60. If possible, our party would endorse an early retirement age at which citizens draw a proprotion less than say if they waited. However, this does not seem possible. (OOC: Not possible due to the legislation you can introduce.)

Article 3 seems self-explanatory. The health-care crisis is something one must look into. By subsidizing the costs to low-income families for their medications we will inevitably save our nations millions of not billions in entitlements. As when the younger generations in the low-income brackets get older or climb the economic ladder. The damage done from years with no support from any insurance program or assistance program will already been potentially stacked to have life-long battles with their health and as a proxy causing much more of a strain than if the problems had been caught previously.

Article 1 seems as well to be clearly logical. I personally believe in donating my organs after I slip from this mortal coil. Though, many citizens quite openly are not in the camp I am. It is only fair and by the definition-liberty; that we give our citizens a choice over their bodies. The State shouldn't be dictating orders to the dead. When a citizen dies, they aren't paying taxes anymore and as a proxy I doubt one could argue or would be brave enough to label our dead property of the state.

I ask my colleagues for their support on this bill.

Deputy Minister to the Party, Sir E. Tipp Wagner
