| The trade union is an important tool for democracy. It ensures that all workers can be protected from overzealous employers, while allowing employers to deal effectivley with all workers at once. Compulsory unionism will mean that things like collective bargaining can be implemented, meanign that all citizens can enjoy the benefits of union membership, while allowing our trade unions greater power to fight for the rights of the working class. It also benefits employers, who will have a single person to talk to when they wish to communicate with their workers, be it for new employment contracts, or new regulations. |
