Details
Submitted by[?]: Solentian Populist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2549
Description[?]:
Our government maintains no laws on the regulation of the purchasing of video games, and yet it requires that a content rating be displayed on the box. What is the point of content ratings if any one of our children can go out and purchase a "Teen," "Mature," or "Adult-Oriented" video game? The United Democratic Party believes that the decision as to whether or not children should be able to play video games should be left to the parents of those children. Any parent would be allowed to purchase one of these mature titles for their children, however. We ask other parties to support us in protecting our children from objectionable and adult-oriented material in video games. Signed, Party Chairman, Hillary Rodham Director of Education and Culture, Roberta Burke |
