"A taste of our environmental views." -Raamiah Galgenstrick, Chairman of the GJA >>Be it enacted by the Knesset of the Sixth Jewish Homeland of Beiteynu, the following shall become law: 1)(A)In Article XIII of the JHC, a new section, "Section 1: Animal Rights" shall be added, and it shall read as the following: "1)(A)No wild animal or domestic animal shall be owned as property or treated as property. (B)The natural rights of a human shall only supersede those of an animal when in the interests of self-preservation for the human in question. 2)(A)Failure to comply shall result in a 15,000 BEI fine per animal kept in captivity and mandatory psychological rehabilitation." 2)(A)In Article XIII of the JHC, a new section, "Section 2: Logging Operations" shall be added, and it shall read as the following: "1)(A)After all logging operations, trees cut down shall be replanted at levels five percent higher than the number that had existed previously. 2)(A)Failure to comply shall result in a fine of 10,000 BEI per tree not planted." 3)(A)In Article XIII of the JHC, a new section, "Section 3: Pollution Emissions" shall be added, and it shall read as the following: "1)(A)No structure within the borders of the Sixth Jewish Homeland of Beiteynu may emit (a) any air pollution into outside air, (b) any water pollution into the ground or any outdoor bodies of water, (c) any unpackaged solid waste, whereas all waste must be given to the appropriate organization responsible for waste disposal, or (d) any harmful radiation outside of a contained area. 2)(A)All organizations have until January 2560 to comply with this legislation, after which any structure in violation will be fined at a rate of 100,000 BEI per pound of air pollution emitted into the outside air, 250,000 BEI per cubic meter of water pollution emitted into the ground or any outdoor body of water, 10,000 BEI per ounce of unpackaged solid waste not disposed of properly, and 5 million BEI per watt of harmful radiation emitted outside of a contained area not for the purposes of wireless communication and above the recommended maximum limit of radiation." 4)(A)In Article XIII of the JHC, a new section, "Section 4: Transportation" shall be added, and it shall read the following: "1)(A)Only means of transit using non-renewable, zero-emission fuels are permitted to be sold, used, purchased, imported, or exported. 2)(A)Compliance with this legislation is expected by January 2560, after which the possession of a vehicle not up to standards shall result in a 50,000 BEI fine per vehicle and a required fee to have the government retrofit the vehicle to meet the standards, and the purchasing, selling, importing, or exporting of a vehicle out of compliance shall result in a 500,000 BEI fine per vehicle and mandatory psychological rehabilitation." 5)(A)It is the intention of this legislature that if any part of this law is declared unconstitutional, all other parts shall remain in full force and effect. |
