Bill: Death Penalty Conundrum Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Peoples' Fist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2559
Description[?]:
An opposition to the death penalty is one of the hallmarks of a progressive, enlightened culture. Even one innocent man or woman executed is far too many. Life imprisonment is not only the humane option, but it allows the prospect of potential exoneration by new evidence coming to light, either through innovative techniques, new testimony, or other methods. The Justice System needs to be just, and this is the way that gives it the best chance to succeed in this objective. |
