Description[?]:
It seems to us that there is a unfair double standard within our current legislation. We allow home schooling which by its very nature tends to be focused and biased towards the parents' interest, but refuse to allow charter schools. All these schools attempt to do if focus the education of students into a field that might make education more engaging to the students. If a child loves the sciences then the best way for them to learn literature is by focusing more on science based works such as that of Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Jared Diamond, etc. These schools also offer greater opportunities within there selected focus subject for gifted students. We must allow charter schools if we allow other forms of alternative education on the government payroll. |
