Bill: KCA: Price Gouging

Details

Submitted by[?]: Keymon Capitalist Action

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2594

Description[?]:

»Recognizing that the property to be sold by businessmen and women does indeed belong to them, not the State, nor the customers until said customers have purchased the property.

Also recognizing that the economy is quite adept at regulating itself – if prices are illegally kept at the normal price during an emergency, people, in the panic of the moment, will purchase more supplies, such as batteries, than they actually need, and this leaves little or nothing for many others. But if prices are allowed to gouge up to 10 KED for a back of batteries, people will think twice before buying way more than they need, and there will still be batteries left over for the others.«
~Natasha Goldstein (Keymon Corporate Action)

BE IT ENACTED by majority vote in favor by the Keymon Assembly, let it be resolved that all laws related to price controls or bans on any forms of price gouging be immediately lifted and declared null and void.
