Bill: KCA: Borders

Details

Submitted by[?]: Keymon Capitalist Action

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2594

Description[?]:

»We have no land borders. Our shores are extensively guarded by our navy, the Axis Alliance of Terra's navy, and various international navies employed by the World Court. It is impossible to parachute onto our tiny landmass without being noted by our missile silos, artillery, and satellites. There is a vast and violent ocean between us and other nations, so shore penetration by small crafts is impossible.

Therefore, the only way to get into Keymon is via airport and seaport. These are heavily guarded institutions, and anyone stowing away would obviously be illegal and could not get away with it without being noticed. No one else could even get an official seat on any transport to Keymon without proving that they are legally allowed in Keymon. Any sailors that decide to desert and move to Keymon would be put on alert by shipping companies (who want their workers back, naturally) and they would be investigated, found, and seized.

In all actuality, the Grand Duchy of Keymon, along with the Kingdom of Vorona and the State of Indrala, are exceptions on Terra that have no need or use for border controls.

So really, what purpose is there to waste money on border checks that we don't need?«
