Bill: Reforming Laws Regarding the Desecration of Zardugal's National Flag
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Republican Party (ZC)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2596
Description[?]:
Not a member of the F.R.P. would be caught burning our flag. If they were, they would no longer be a member of our party. However, this does not allow us to say it should be illegal to do such a vile act as burning our national flag in the form of expression of belief. This is what liberty is and living in a free society as we do entitles us to often have to take the view that while we may not agree with that of which you say however, I will fight to my last breath to defend your right to say it. Let those who wish to desecrate our flag do so in public. Allow the fools to expose themselves as the traitors and fanatics that they are. The government needs to do nothing; the upstanding citizens of Zardugal will see to it that the problem solves itself. Signed, Assistant Deputy Director A. Haldane, Endorsed by Director General Ulysses C. Rowlins |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow official national flags of real-life nations or flags which are very prominent and recognisable (eg. the flags of the European Union, the United Nations, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union or the Confederate States of America). |
