Bill: Trade Union Restriction Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Radical Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2603

Description[?]:

Trade Unions have become too powerful over the past three decades, encouraged by liberal governments and appeasement by the left-wing in return for support against the Right. While this may have kept the liberal bloc in power, it has provoked a dramatic decrease in the quality of the services; government is afraid to oppose the Transport Unions in fear of a strike or walk out.

This is not how the economy or efficiency of our services improves; only by taking a firm stand against the transport unions can we progress and improve the quality of our services for the betterment of the public.

John Giles
Infrastructure and Transport Minister
