Bill: "Sword of Damacles" Funding Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Jelbanian Blue Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2609

Description[?]:

This bill would authorize the start of a project that would develop a weapon of mass destruction that did not have the drawbacks of nuclear fallout. Each senator has already been given briefings on the subject, however, in short the end product would be a system of pairs of geo-orbital satellites, one with the payload and one for targeting and communication. The payload would consist of several tons of Tungsten in rod form. When dropped the effect would be similiar to a meteorite impact. Due to the recent success's in Jelbania's growing biotech industry and the need for military advancement, the project would be benefiical and affordable to Jelbania's defense.

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire.
