| We simply cannot treat our citizens as if they were children. While it is clear, that drinking can be unhealthy the moment too much is drunken, the fact remains that if it is done in small 'portions', it even becomes healthy. It also is a traditional part of the Hutorian culture. Smoking also is unhealthy, and more unhealthy than drinking. Nevertheless, smoking should be allowed in places where it can't hurt anybody but the smoker himself. We also don't outlaw selfmade injuries, or risky sports, and this is clear as the disposition over one's body clearly lies by the individual himself, not the greater communities. |
