Bill: Repealing Church of Telamon Act 2652

Details

Submitted by[?]: Telamese Defence League

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2654

Description[?]:

This piece of legislation ( http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=223440 ) passed several years ago by a mere two votes because 81 MP's failed to vote. Possibly these were positive abstentions, but we would like the legislation to be reviewed again, because we feel that perhaps we now have a state religion, despite the fact that the majority of Parliament does not want this.

Although we are not against religion, in fact we would categorize ourselves as a Christian party, we do not believe that any single denomination should be advanced at the expense of others and given preferential treatment by the state. Thus we hope that Parliament will end the current situation and remove the special status that the Catholic Church currently enjoys in Lodamun.

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire.
