Bill: Jeltarian Imperial Senate Bill #2

Details

Submitted by[?]: Wissenshaft Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2670

Description[?]:

The Imperial Senate shall hereby ban the Terran Catholic Church from any public sector of Deltarian government. There shall be a complete separation between the Terran Catholic Church and the State. Upon this completion of this, the Terran Catholic Church is banned in its entirety from Deltaria. The Pope, his bishops, and all of his clergy shall give up their professions, leave the country, or face arrest. All Terran Catholic property shall be confiscated by the Deltarian government. The government will not actively seek to punish practicing Terran Catholics, but the government will arrest all official clergy men connected with the Church authority.

The Terran Catholic Church is guilty of the greatest evils in Deltarian history. They have allowed progressive morality to infect the Church to the point of no longer being a moral teacher. They have elected a female Pope and have caused a great schism within the Catholic Church. They have been a complicit ally of a corrupt and tyrannical government. They are greedy, they are power hungry, they are immoral, they are finished.

Upon the passing of this bill, I direct the local police, the regional militias, and the Deltarian army to follow with my wishes. The gold and silver collected from Terran Catholic Church accounts will be distributed to the poor.

Cameron I
