Bill: Capital Punishment Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: League of Christian Socialists
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2686
Description[?]:
Our current system whereby people are executed or imprisoned according to which part of the country they are convicted in is absurd and undermines our system of law. As a Christian, I acknowledge the biblical case for capital punishment for murder crimes, and believe it continues to be justifed as a deterrent against the taking of innocent life. This is not about undermining the value of life, but about recognising its sacred value. Leonard Brownlow (Lord Protector of Zardugal & Secretary of the League of Christian Socialists) |
