We, the Parliament of the United Republics of Lodamun, do hereby establish the following Constitutional Amendment.

Let it be resolved that the President or Head of State has the power to:

1- Pardon and/or reprieve the sentences of those convicted of a crime.

2- A pardon and/or commute is to be carried out by the Minister of Justice and his/her designees.

Definition of Pardon under this law: A pardon is the forgiveness of a crime and the penalty associated with it.

Definition of Reprieve under this law: A warrant granting postponement and/or end of a conviction.


As a Constitutional Amendment, it requires a 2/3 majority of Parliament to vote in the affirmative in order to pass.
