Amendment I: Mandatory retirement is hereby illegal. Any individual who wishes to retain their position of employment after the designated retirement age cannot be denied these wishes unless their place of employment falls within the criteria of Amendment V. Amendment II: When an employee reaches the age of 70, employers must prove mental or physical incompetence to the Ministry of Trade and Industry in order to retire said employee. Amendment III: Individuals over the professional retirement age cannot be discriminated against in the hiring processes, promotions, wages, or firing/layoffs. Amendment IV: It is prohibited for job notices, advertisements, or applications to specify age preference and limitations; unless the employment within the criteria of Amendment V. Amendment V: Mandatory retirement at the designated age can only exist in employment sectors where it is too dangerous, physically demanding or high levels of mental skills which include but are not limited to: a. The military branches. b. Airline pilots. c. Construction |
