The National Assembly resolves that the holidays and festivals listed below be recognized as public holidays in Tukarali. Schools and non-essential government offices, with employees receiving paid-holiday, are to be closed on these days. * January 1 - New Years' Day :: celebration of the new year. * Date Varies - Spring Festival :: Mu-Tze holiday, celebration of the new year based on the ancient Mu-Tze calendar * Date Varies - Easter Sunday :: Christian holiday, celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. * April 5 - Qingming Festival :: Mu-Tze holiday, remembrance of ancestors and tending of graves * April 15 - National Unity Day :: celebration of the creation of the Glorious Republic and the inauguration of President Ryan Malagar. * June 1 - Election Day :: occurs every five years to elect President, National Assembly, and Regional Governments * June 20 - Inauguration, occurs nineteen days after election day and marks the entrance, or re-entrance, of the President into his/her office. * July 18 - Malagar Day , celebration of the birthday of the Glorious Republic's founder and first President. * Date Varies - Moon Festival :: Mu-Tze holiday, ancient harvest festival * November 1 - All Saints' Day :: Christian holiday, remembrance of the dead and ancestors * December 24 - Christmas Eve :: day before Christmas Day. * December 25 - Christmas Day :: Christian holiday, celebration the birth of Jesus Christ and has emphasis on togetherness and gift-giving. * December 31 - New Years' Eve :: day before New Years' Day. |
