Bill: Family Equality

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Democratic Workers' Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2815

Description[?]:

Refuting and condemning the existing discriminatory laws that seek to oppress social minorities and promote heterosexism in our society, and acknowledging that the oppression of bi- and homosexuals is the product of the same oppressive socio-economic system that gave birth to classism and racism, we propose the liberation of all LGBT individuals so they may take their rightful place in society. By legalising marriage and adoption for all couples, we can combat the percieved breakdown of family life and strive to end sexual promiscuity among sexual minorities and end intolerance of them by giving them the route to family life and equality in the eyes of the law and their fellow man.

Random fact: Periodically, it is a good idea to go through your nation's Treaties and arrange to withdraw from any that are unwanted.

Random quote: "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, from those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children." - Dwight D. Eisenhower
