Bill: Deregulation

Details

Submitted by[?]: Populist Liberation Animals Environment

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2826

Description[?]:

These articles pertain to the quality of products. We believe that standards can be voluntarily adhered to through the use of private organisations instead of the government.

So a private organisation would become a standards agency and to seek approval a business must meet specific requirements as set out by the private standards agency. This currently occurs in the computer industry and enhances the reputation of a business, so it is in the interest of a business to adhere to these private standards.

A business would be shunned if it did not adhere to these standards as consumers would be wary of the quality of its products.
