This bill reintroduces the prohibition for public officials of wearing religious symbols while performing their duties. The complete separation of state and religion is a necessary condition for true secularism, and public officials should be expected to maintain that separation while exercising their functions. They have the freedom to practise and religious beliefs in their spare time. |
