Bill: Animal Testing Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Christian Social People's Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2914
Description[?]:
The CSSP believes that animal testing can provide improvements to human lives not otherwise available to the scientific community. The current law on testing stipulates that it is banned. However this means that potentially more damage is done to the animals involved by medical testing in other states where such a ban is not in place, and is indeed unregulated. In doing so Egelion also misses out on potential business opportunities. The CSSP proposes legalising animal testing for medical research only, and in doing so, regulating it so as to assure the best quality of life for the animals involved. |
