Description[?]:
Though Keymon is a neutral country we have in the past had a strong military heritage and tradition for the defense of our nation, this bill seeks to restore that. Article 1: All PDA is disallowed when soldiers are one duty not only Homosexual PDA. This is to provide minimal distraction and maximum professionalism in Keymon's very small military. Article 2: The Army is not a police force and does the job of a civilian police force poorly and arbitrarily. The PDK (Police Department of Keymon) is hereby established and the military is forbidden to intervene except at the request of a cabinet majority. Article 3: ONLY IN TIMES OF WAR: The draft may be instituted for individuals who have graduated school. If the draftee has qualms about combat they can opt out in favor of support roles, medical roles or relief work. This applies equally to men and women, but in the case of a married couple with children only one parent may be drafted and if both are drafted (in case of no children) they must be stationed in such a way that weekly visits are possible. Article 4: Prisoners of war must be treated according to international law. This avoids the world at large seeing Keymon as a failed or rogue state and may help get our imprisoned soldiers the same treatment. Article 5: Women may serve only in non combat positions. Men and women are of equal value, but they have different strengths and weaknesses. |
