Details
Submitted by[?]: Constitutionalist Imperial League (IA)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2971
Description[?]:
It is folly to allow unlimited numbers of refugees into the Empire. Upon passing of this bill, no refugees will be allowed to enter the Empire unless they are given special dispensation by the Emperor (or Empress) himself. In addition, the Foreign Ministry, under the supervision of the Foreign Minister and the Lord High Steward, will conduct an investigation into the status of current refugees. If the results of this investigation show that some refugees are in dire need of asylum in the Empire and that such asylum is in Imperial interests, the Foreign Ministry will present a list of such refugees to His Majesty, who will then decide whether or not, said specific refugees will be allowed to remain in the Empire. All refugees not on the list and not permitted to stay by His Majesty shall be sent back to their country of origin. |

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire. |
