| In order to allow for competition in the telecommunications market, but also to guarantee that prices cannot reach such a level that those on limited incomes are unable to receive what is now an almost essential item, the Government will introduce limitations on maximum call charges. These maximums will be set at a maximum hourly rate worked out by the current maximum charge set currently, with yearly updates to work out any changes that might be required due to inflation. |
