Bill: The "Close That Door" Proposal

Details

Submitted by[?]: Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3075

Description[?]:

We cannot be letting in refugees willy nilly otherwise we will have a flood of immigrants putting even more pressure on vital services such as food, water and housing. While we believe everyone deserves a fair go, the line must be drawn somewhere and the Labour Party is prepared to draw that line.

(OOC: I am also talking this from an OOC perspective meaning allowing all refugees will create social unrest like what is happening here in the UK, we are seeing the formation of "ghettos" if you'll call it where immigrants particularly Islamic ones refuse to integrate into British society, creating all sorts of social problems.)

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
