Bill: Private Education Act
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3112
Description[?]:
We would prefer that Dorvk's state schools were so good that no sensible parent would consider sending their child to a private school. However, we recognise in practice that some parents who have the means available wish to send their children to be educated privately, and we believe that choice should be respected. We also point out that parents who privately educate their children are in a sense paying twice, once through their taxes for state schools, and a second time from their private funds for a private school. |
