| It is humorous that our current law allows death penalty and yet we are denied to extradite criminals to nations with capital punishment. As the current legislation won't allow us to repeal that abomination that is death penalty, this bill is actually counter-productive at present as it would prevent sending certain criminals to Countries where justice is more lenient than ours. We will wait until we win our fight on death penalty before putting this bill to vote. |

Current: Extradition to nations that practice cruel or inhumane treatment of suspects or in punishment is not allowed.
Proposed: The law bars the government from extraditing anyone who is a citizen of the state.
