Bill: National Television and Radio

Details

Submitted by[?]: Parti Nouvelle République

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3159

Description[?]:

The Parti Nouvelle République proposes that a national television and radio station be subsidized by the government in order to provide unbiased news relevant to the Confédération.

The new television and radio would provide unbiased news that would counter the current situation where private television and radio provide their own views in their news reports.

An unbiased news source is seen as important to inform the people of Rildanor. This would in no way stop independent non-profits from running news sources that conform to their own views.

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".
