Bill: Immigration Education Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Deltarian Liberal Movement

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3175

Description[?]:

It is a simple point of growing up in Deltaria that a person is required to go to school and learn the concepts of our national languages and political systems. The Liberal Party believes that a basic understanding of these two factors is an imperative in being able to understand our Government and making an electoral choice.

Coupled with this act is a firm resolution for the Government of Deltaria to establish loans available to immigrants in order to attend classes on the subjects of basic literacy and political process, which will be repaid if and when the person receiving the loan begins to earn over 50 000 DTE as a taxpayer.

Also resolved is a demand for any tests to include only matters of Democracy, Government Format, Elections and Basic Deltarian Languages.

We must make sure that people understand the world they live in, and give them the freedom of opportunity to do so. We as children, and our children come to understand these concepts as they grow up in the Federal Republic. Immigrants do not benefit immediately from this cultural absorption, so we must give them the best start they can to becoming electors that can truly work in a democratic system for their benefit, and their rights.

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others.
