Bill: Strengthen the Military

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand National Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3244

Description[?]:

We have to strengthen our military to make sure it has the ability to strike if a potential threat occurs. We propose three measures that will help our nation to reach this aim:

1.) Privatizing the defence industry and giving subsidies to them will reduce spending and maintain the weaponry supply at the same time.

2.) An intelligence agency is an essential institution to prevent threats to our national security. We cannot put our security at risk by maintaining the current policy.

3.) Land mines are an adequate way of warfare and should therefore be legalized, albeit with some restrictions to make sure they are used in an appropriate way.

Random fact: When elections in a country are held, all bills in the voting phase are reset to the debate phase.

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand
