Bill: Death Penalty Abolition Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Individualistic Movement
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3286
Description[?]:
"Mr Speaker, The Dealth penality is a cruel and irreversible way of punishment. Even in current times mistakes happen and courts can err. If the death penalty however has been applied this often comes to late. I a modern Republic in the year 3286 it is unacceptable to stick with such cruel and inhuman methods. Furthermore every person living in our Supreme Republic shall - even must - have the right to live. This is absolutely incompatible with death penalty being applied to capital crimes. I call the members of this great house to vote yes on this act of humanity and honor. Thank you!" - Benny Fisher-Coleman, IM-leader |
