Bill: Media Diversity

Details

Submitted by[?]: Konservative Partei

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3292

Description[?]:

We think that governments have a responsibility in the media industry: namely, a responsibility to ensure that there is maximal diversity of content and ownership, and a minimum of state control over what people can see or hear. There is a place for independent non-profit cooperatives, but there is also a place for private companies: these companies have an incentive to respond to what ordinary Dundorfers want.

- Florian Steltzner, culture spokesperson for the Konservative Partei.
